Auto Air Gloucester was established in 2002 with the sole intention of supplying vehicle air conditioning parts to established customers throughout the U.K. Both directors of the company have been in the industry since the 80's and were involved in implementing vehicle air conditioning product ranges for one of the largest air conditioning parts companies in the U.K. Experience was gained from originally building air conditioning kits for Range Rovers to working with Austin Rover Group on compressor supply to installation of air conditioning kits on agricultural vehicles. Both believed that as companies grow then the unique customer service becomes lost and wished to develop a company that put customer service as priority. In the first 9 months the company structured to service the customer correctly with not only price but also quality of parts, good availability and continual investment in new products and information. In 2003 the business successfully completed its financial year exceeding all its targets and producing a turnover in excess of £1 million. As the company started to become very successful we developed relationships with key product manufacturers such as Visteon and Delphi this enabled their product range to hit the market through a structured route and allowing for us to become a distributor for their quality products. As part of our on going product development we also have key relationships with other manufacturers in Europe, China and Taiwan, This relationship allows us to be at the cutting edge of new product development arranging for the latest models to be catered for "off the shelf" very quickly, this speed of product development meant that we very often have access to new product before other suppliers, to the degree that this product is now exported to other countries!
The business is based in two buildings the first, which is set up as a distribution centre with quality control processes for goods in and out and a repackaging system. Our policy is to repack all products before despatch thus reducing transportation damage and also allowing a further quality check of the item. Our second building is structured towards quantity storage and a service centre, which we use both for local repairs and proof fitment of new items.
During 2004 we launched the product catalogue for replacement parts. This was intended as a quick use catalogue whilst we continued to develop the CD Rom version.
